Project Manager

This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, from inception through successful completion.  

Job Responsibilities:  

  1. Estimating:  Prepare accurate and comprehensive project cost estimates based on project requirements and scope.
  2. Subcontractor Procurement/Management:  Source and engage qualified subcontractors, negotiate contracts, and oversee their performance throughout the project.
  3. Field Supervision:  Provide on-site supervision to ensure construction activities adhere to project plans, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  4. Cost Management:  Monitor project budgets and implement cost-effective strategies to maintain profitability.
  5. Budgets:  Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial goals.
  6. Quality Assurance:  Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure that the project meets and exceeds industry standards.
  7. Change Orders:  Manage change orders efficiently, documenting modifications and communicating with all relevant parties.
  8. RFI's (Requests for Information):  Handle RFIs in a timely manner, collaborating with project stakeholders to resolve any design or construction queries.
  9. Submittals:  Oversee the timely submission, review, and approval of project submittals.
  10. Collaboration with Superintendents:  Work closely with Superintendents to keep construction progress on schedule and address any issues that arise.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the commercial construction industry, with a focus on tenant buildouts.
  • Proven track record of successfully coordinating and delivering multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong expertise in estimating, cost control, and budget management.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, capable of prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities, enabling effective collaboration with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
  • Proficiency in construction project management software is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related experience preferred.

Superintendent

We're seeking an experienced commercial construction Superintendent to oversee the day-to-day operations in the field.  This position requires directing the crews and supervising the trades, coordinating the subcontractors, working closely with Project Managers, checking daily production, and keeping the work progressing smoothly and on schedule.  

Job Responsibilities:  

  • Review and understand the scope of work for projects, including shop drawings, submittals, RFI’s, and change orders on projects, and manage construction in accordance with those items
  • Properly schedule materials, equipment, crews, and subcontractors 
  • Coordinate, inspect, and ensure all aspects of the construction are properly and safely installed per plans and specs by crews and subcontractors
  • Ensure subcontractors are efficiently carrying out their contractual obligations
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager to ensure deadlines are met and communicate any unforeseen problems that may arise
  • Proactively work to have no punch list items noted during the final walkthrough. If items are noted, work to finish the list in an expedited fashion for efficient closeout of projects
  • Ensure safety regulations and a high standard of quality control are followed on every jobsite. 
  • Coordinate inspections with local jurisdictions and company Office Manager 
  • Reports to Project Managers, Office Manager and President of the company

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 to 5 years of commercial construction field management experience

Have working knowledge of Outlook

Field Lead

General contractor specializing in interior commercial tenant buildouts has an immediate opening for an experienced commercial construction Field Lead to oversee the day-to-day operations in the field. This position requires working closely with Superintendents to ensure all materials are delivered to job sites, to assist in managing on-site labor and miscellaneous other tasks as required for each project.  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review and understand the scope of work for projects, including shop drawings.
  • Taking on aspects of demolition, painting, wall framing, sheetrock hanging, and job site cleanup.
  • Properly schedule materials deliveries or pick up as required.
  • Ensure subcontractors are scheduled properly to keep the project moving smoothly.
  • If punch list items are noted during the final walkthrough, work to finish the list in an expedited fashion for efficient closeout of projects.
  • Ensure safety regulations and a high standard of quality control are followed on every jobsite. 
  • Coordinate inspections with local jurisdictions and company Project Manager Assistant. 
  • Reports to Superintendents, Project Managers, and President of the company.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 to 5 years of commercial construction field experience.

Have working knowledge of Outlook.

Project Manager Assistant

Potential candidates must have a solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs. Project Manager Assistant experience is a must! Duties to include but are not limited to: assisting Project Managers; preparing bids, submittals, and close-out packages; visiting job sites; and miscellaneous administrative duties, as assigned.

  • Print and/or prepare and submit all project related documents, to include maintaining electronic job folders and job binders
  • Share documents electronically
  • Ship/Receive/Deliver job samples, as needed
  • Schedule inspections, as needed
  • Accompany Project Managers to site visits, as required
  • Attend punch walk-throughs
  • Facilitate and attend project meetings and conference calls
  • Attend weekly Work in Progress (WIP) meetings and maintain notes
  • Maintain office copies of plans
